Settings

Last updated

Settings is the last section of the menu. Everyone has Profile Settings; the rest are for admins. Tags, stages and contact properties have their own page, as do user management and billing.

Profile settings

In Settings → Profile Settings you can:

  • add or change your photo
  • change your first name, last name, job title and phone
  • change your password, which asks for your current one first
  • choose Appearance: light or dark. The button in the top bar switches it too

Your email address cannot be changed.

Your photo at the top right of every page opens your profile card, with your profile, Logout, and the Documentation, Support, Privacy Policy and Terms of Service links. The lightbulb beside it (Got an idea?) is where you send an idea or a question about the CRM.

Account settings

Admins only.

In Settings → Account Settings, set your Company Logo, Mailing Address, Company Email and Company Phone. The logo shows beside the account’s name in the menu, and in your marketing email footer if you include it there. The mailing address can go in the footer too.

API key

Every account has an API key, for adding contacts from other systems. Account Settings shows it hidden; show it or copy it from there. The key goes in the X-API-Key header of each request. If it is ever exposed, click Regenerate and confirm: the old key stops working at once.

Billing

Admins only.

Settings → Billing shows your current plan and trial, and Manage Billing opens Stripe, where you update your card, change plan, download invoices or cancel. See billing and trial.

Email domain

Admins only.

Campaigns are sent from mail.kabooly.com until you set up your own domain, such as mail.yourcompany.com. Sending from your own domain helps your emails reach inboxes and shows your name.

  1. Open Settings → Email Domain and click Add Domain.
  2. Enter the Domain Name, the From Name, the From Email (the part before the @) and, if you like, a Reply-To Address.
  3. Add the DNS records shown to your domain, where you manage its DNS.
  4. Click Verify Domain. Its status goes from Pending Verification to Verified, or to Verification Failed if the records are not right yet.

Once verified, your campaigns are sent from your domain. An account has one domain; Remove Domain takes it away.

Only campaigns use your domain. Automation emails and the CRM’s own emails, such as invitations, password resets and form notifications, come from Kabooly’s address.

Admins only.

Settings → Email Footer sets the footer of your marketing emails, campaigns and automations alike:

  • Include company logo
  • Include mailing address, the one in Account Settings
  • Include social media links: Facebook, X (Twitter) and LinkedIn
  • Custom HTML Content and Additional Text

The preview shows how it will look. The unsubscribe link is always added for you.

Export data

Admins only.

In Settings → Export Data, tick any of contacts, deals, stages, tags, activities, tasks, marketing lists, email campaigns and email templates, then click Export Selected. Each one downloads as its own CSV file.

Keeping your account safe

  • Use a strong password you do not use anywhere else.
  • Never share your login: invite each person instead.
  • Sign out when you finish on a shared computer.
